Chili Peppers Play For Music

03 May 2007

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will play a charity show this weekend in LA.

The gig promotes the importance of music in schools and is aimed to local children.

Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder will join the Chili Peppers, with funds raised going to non-profit organization the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, which was partly created by Flea.

Flea says he has always felt the importance of having music in schools, saying, "I did band, choir, everything, but when I went back to the school years later I found out the programmes were gone. I was shocked. I decided on the spot to do something."
