R&B star Jay Sean has slammed organisers of the BRIT Awards for snubbing him in this year's nominations.
He has called the ceremony 'fake' and insisted that it is based on "a lot of politics" rather than people who have sold a lot of records.
WATCH - Jay Sean and Nicki Minaj with '2012'Jay failed to get any nods in for this year's awards, and he's not happy that he missed out!
He tells Britain's Daily Record newspaper, "The list of nominations is to be expected. I've got to say I'm not a not a fan of award shows.
"I think they are fake and there's a lot of politics behind it. It doesn't represent anything about who's doing what. Half the people on the list have hardly sold any records. These are cool names that you drop at cocktail parties. They don't represent the scene very well. What is the purpose of award shows?
"I remember when Craig David was the king and you couldn't get bigger than him. Yet he was not nominated for any Brits - so it goes to show the whole thing for me just doesn't represent anything."
