Akon Pleads Not Guilty Over Fan Throwing

Senegal rapper Akon has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanour charges made against him earlier this year.

Akon was charged after he threw a male fan back into the crowd at a concert, after dragging him on stage when the fan allegedly threw something towards the stage!

Apparently the fan fell on a woman in the crowd who then suffered a concussion. Akon was at the time charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, and second-degree harassment.

Akon's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said in a statement, "It was never Akon's intention to violate the law. This unfortunate incident was a spontaneous reaction during a live concert that Akon deeply regrets."
