The oddly named Bob Sinclar has seemingly appeared from nowhere to pop in to the number 27 spot on the Take 40 charts with the infectiously hip 'Love Generation'. Who is this Bob Sinclar though?! Is he a mysterious Caribbean DJ? Perhaps he's a cool Jamaican rapper god?

We can actually reveal the real man behind the name Bob Sinclar is actually ultra-hip Paris-based DJ Chris The French Kiss. Chris is the name behind countless dance hits and his label Yellow Productions brought the world the smooth dancefloor beats of Dimitri From Paris.

So why did Chris decide on the name change for his new single? "Bob is an alter ego for me" he says. "It was important for me to have fun and relive that disco era. So I wanted to invent a character who was like a porn star or a disco hero or a spy - a James Bond parody, but cool, like the Fonzie".
