Geri To Write Kids Books

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is reported to be writing a series of children's books!

The singer has signed a six book deal with Macmillan publishing for the series based on a nine year old character 'Ugenia Lavender', who juggles school and solving mysteries.

Geri said her character is "a very well-rounded human being. She's flawed. She's demanding. She can be a bit obnoxious, but equally she cares about the world she lives in."

She said that writing suits her current lifestyle, as she can be at home with her young daughter Bluebell Madonna.

Halliwell will also record a theme song for the series.

Rumours have been rife lately that the Spice Girls will reunite, however Geri (aka Ginger Spice), said "We'll see. At the moment this (writing) is my absolute passion."
