World renown hip hop producer Timbaland has got down on his hands and knees and begged Jay Z for forgiveness after leaking several songs from the rapper's new album 'The Blueprint 3'.
VIDEO: Jay Z - D.O.A (Death Of Autotune)Some of the tracks produced by Timbaland were leaked almost two weeks before the intended album release date of September 11, causing massive uproar within the hip hop community. Memphis Bleek, Jay Z's protege, publicity blamed Timbaland for allowing the tracks to make their way onto the internet.
Initially Timbaland denied responsibly, and blamed the leak of one of his employees, before calling Jay Z personally and admitting it was him.
Jay-Z says, "I called (Timbaland) and said, 'Hey man, what's going on over there, what's happening?' The first thing he said was, 'I don't have the songs'. Then he thought about it for a day and the next day he called and apologised for it. That's all I wanted to hear. They were all his songs, so obviously someone in his camp leaked the songs."
Jay-Z brought forward the release of 'The Blueprint 3' by four days after the whole project was made available to download illegally by the end of August.
