28 Days Biography

28 Days
So... A bio.

What is there that you need to know about a band? Where they came from? What do they look like? What music they listen to? Do they exclusively wear ladies or men's jeans? Have any of them been to a college of the arts or done some time in prison? Do they smoke cigarettes? What brand? Is menthol due for a comeback? If they were stuck on a desert island what three things would they take? (that passes for journalism?) A million stupid questions are asked. A million spin doctors answer them. Bands sell a million copies without playing a live show. Karaoke acts are force-fed to the masses only to be picked from our teeth in time for next season. Paris Hilton has got your 11yr old daughter dressed like a whore. Nothing special is needed to catch our attention for a couple of months at a time.

Fame is cheap. Who left is real?

Once upon a time bands would tour for a couple of years (at least!) before anyone took notice of them. That's how they got good. What happened to the bands that LAST at least a couple of years? What happened to bands that don't suffer from burn-out after touring for 6 months. What happened to rock? The industry is what happened. It crossed over with prime-time, lowest common denominator T.V. Tripping over it's self to keep up with America five years ago. (28Days were once approached by someone who sells records to do an Australian Jackass. They told him to piss off. Not because they don't think 28Days should have their own T.V. show but because they don't think they should blatantly rip off a successful idea while nailing their nuts to a table just to get one.). If you are good enough to go well you are good enough to do it without keeping up with the joneses. You've got record labels telling you what to do. You got amoebas who look so cool and keep telling everyone that 'you gotta love rock!' but will turn on you at the drop of a hat if anyone at a radio station or some shit T.V. show of influence is offended by 'rock behaviour'! They get offended so easily!!! How dare you!!! It's because most of them are too old. A lifestyle that they feed off of, but don't really live. They have a nine to five job with sick perks. It's safe. How can they possibly relate with us? It is a business. The key to be success in business is safety (ask any accountant). Music isn't about safety.

We've had a gutfull!

The only people we trust are us, and a handful of anomalies that are involved in the industry because they love music. "- taken from a quote that 28 Days may have made: had they been contacted.

Anyway, that's not 28 Days' problem anymore. They are an independent band from Melbourne that used to be dependent. Their latest E.P. was called BRING EM BACK and was written, recorded, produced, and released by them on Rebelscum Records with Jimi Maroudas (who worked with Ulrich Wild on their last release) and the band on the mixing desk. Which is, in their opinion, the best way to approach music in this current environment. They also manage themselves.......and write their own bios.

In 2007, the band parted ways and moved onto differnet musical projects.
