50 Cent Sued for Gangsta Assault

10 April 2008

Bad-ass rapper 50 Cent is allegedly being sued by a 14-year-old boy who claims friends of Fiddy's assaulted him!

Fiddy's hip-hop cohorts Chris Lighty, Tony Yayo and Lowell Fletcher were also named in the lawsuit.

The boy, James Rosemond claims he was assaulted on the street in Manhattan in March 2007 by four men, two of which were Yayo and Fletcher.

Rosemond and his mother Cynthia state that the record labels who signed 50 Cent - including Universal Music subsidiaries Interscope, G-Unit Records and Shady Records - should take responsibility for the incident because the encourage certain artists to lead violent, criminal lifestyles in order to maintain their image.

Tony Yayo pleaded guilty in February to harassment and was sentenced to ten days of community service.

Fletcher also gave a guilty plea, but was slapped with a nine month jail term for a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
