Kylie Minogue kicked off her intimate anti-tour over the weekend, and the fans were more than impressed!

No backing dancers, no costume changes, no pyrotechnics were used, yet the pop princess didn't need all the bells and whistles to make an impression!

So what's left without the party tricks? 25 years worth of amazing pop songs, that's what!

Kylie held two shows at the Palace Theatre in Melbourne last night (the later one started after midnight!) for her super fans, including a host of B-sides and lesser heard songs.

Kylie bounced on stage looking rock ready, in high waisted shorts and a Marilyn Monroe loose fitting Tee.

The 43-year-old bounded between decades with ease, from tracks like Made in Heaven, to the B-side of her 1988 hit Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi, from Cherry Bomb, to the electro filled 2008 single Wow!

"It's been very difficult choosing the songs," she told the audience. "So I hope you hear one of the songs that was on your lists ... which were apparently quite long."

Kylie had plenty of time for the crowd, pausing between songs to lap up the atmosphere, or to single out fans who were crying or looking "blissed out."

Intimate and revealing, this was a once in a life time experience few fans get to experience with their idols! Props to Kylie for thinking outside the square!
