The Wrights Biography

The Wrights featuring Nic Cester (Jet), Kram (Spiderbait), Chris Cheney (The Living End), Davey Lane (You Am I / The Pictures) and Pat Bourke (Dallas Crane) came together to pay tribute to The Easybeats front man 'Stevie Wright'.

After reading the biography 'Hard Road' about Wright's turbulent life, Nic Cester approached author / producer Glenn Goldsmith about re-recording Wright's classic trilogy 'Evie' Parts 1, 2 & 3.

With support from the original songwriter and producer Harry Vanda 'Evie' Parts 1, 2 & 3 was released in February 2005, and debuted at #2 on the ARIA chart. The proceeds were donated to Stevie Wright and drug & alcohol rehabilitation.

Special guest vocalists for the trilogy included Bernard Fanning of Powderfinger and Phil Jamieson of Grinspoon singing parts 2 and 3 respectively.
