Arctic Monkeys Will Not Perform at Live Earth

English band the Arctic Monkeys have revealed that they decided to sit out this weekends Live Earth concerts as they believe it would be hypocritical for them to take part.

The boys have revealed that their constant touring means that they are actually generating more than their fair share of green house gases.

"We're using enough power for 10 houses just for lighting. It'd be a bit hypocritical," said Drummer Matt Helders

Meanwhile, bass player Nick O'Malley chipped in: "And we're always jetting off on aeroplanes."
