Fall Out Boy in Hot Water Over Tour Art

23 November 2007

Fall Out Boy have come into some potential legal trouble with the artwork for their 'Young Wild Things' tour.

The artwork is inspired by the children's book 'Where the Wild Things Are', written by Maurice Sendak, and has apparently been used without rights!

During the concerts, pictures of Pete Wentz and crew as characters from the book are displayed, and are also used on t-shirts and other promotional materials.

They've now posted an apology to Sendak on their website, saying "We have great respect and affection for his book and it was our intent only to pay homage to it, not to infringe any rights."

It is still unknown whether Sendak will take the issue further.
