Simpson Cashes In On Pregnancy Rumours

Ashlee Simpson's father Joe has apparently been trying to cash in on her pregnancy rumours by offering exclusive rights of baby photos to gossip magazines for a hefty $1 million!

Despite Ashlee's fianc Pete Wentz denying the pregnancy rumours, and Ashlee herself telling a reporter that those questions were "inappropriate", Joe hasn't been so discreet in keeping mum.

Mr. Simpson hasn't wasted any time in jumping on the media bandwagon. A magazine staff member told the New York Post's 'Page Six': "Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pay up to $1 million to put Ashlee on the cover."

"The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it."

Simpson has hit a snag in his plans however - no magazine wants to pay that much! "$60,000 maybe," said one editor, "but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album 'Bittersweet World' is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant frankly!"
