The ARIA Awards are almost here for another year, and with just under three weeks to go before Australian music's night of nights takes place, we are sifting through the archives and celebrating what we believe are the top ARIA Award moments!

In 2005, Aussie songstress Missy Higgins made a splash on the ARIAs stage in a few ways!

She was nominated for seven ARIA Awards and won Album of the Year, Best Pop Release, Breakthrough Artist -- Album and Highest Selling Album (all for The Sound of White) and Best Female Artist.

What made these awards even more memorable however was that when Missy received her award for "Album Of The Year" it was David Hasselhoff who presented her, and she thanked him by jumping into his arms!
