The Black Keys Apologise For Nickelback Comments

22 March 2012

The Black Keys star Patrick Carney has made an apology (of sorts!) to Nickelback after blaming the band for the current state of music in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

Carney singled out Nickelback in the interview saying, "Rock 'n' roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world. They became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be s**t (and) therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. F**k that!"

Nickelback brushed off the comments by stating, "Life's too short to sweat what others think" and by thanking the band for calling them the biggest band in the world.

Now Carney has issued an apology of sorts to the band in an appearance on MTV Canada.

He said, "I didn't mean to single them out actually, it just came out. There's much worse bands than Nickelback... maybe. That was the worst apology."

What do you guys thinks of Patrick's comments?
