Rob Thomas paid a visit to the Take 40 studios earlier today hot on the heels of a national tour announcement for 2010.
Rob's single 'Her Diamonds', written about his wife Marisol, spent a massive six weeks at the top of the Take 40 chart recently, so we asked him if having her own hit song helps get him out of trouble at home?
"No, she is so over that!" Rob told take40.com. "That doesn't impress her at all... it's not gonna be like 'oh I'm in trouble, I'm gonna write a song to get out of it'"...

Rob said that after ten years of marriage, she's heard it all before. "It gets old!" he said.
Thomas' follow up single 'Someday' is due for release shortly and tickets to his 'Cradlesong' Australian tour go on sale Friday 7th August.
Get the tour details here! Our lucky (and super excited) winners Connie and Kaz (see below photo) had couch-side seats in the Take 40 studios today to watch Rob perform a special acoustic rendition of 'Her Diamonds'. We'll have that acoustic video online here at take40.com next week - make sure you check it out!
Rob will be performing at annual charity event The Million Dollar Lunch in Melbourne tomorrow (Friday 31st July) for The Koala Foundation, which helps raise money for children with cancer.
