Destination Calabria is the single that elevated Alex to the level of his Data label mates Eric Prydz and Fedde le Grand it reached Number 1 in the European Dance charts in May 2007 and has already achieved the following national chart positions - No.1 in Belgium, No.4 in UK, No.6 in France, No. 10 in Holland and is about to be released worldwide in Australia, USA, Japan, South America over the next couple of months this track truly is massive on a global scale!

Alex Gaudino began his adventure in the music business in Italy in 1993 at the famous Flying Records and UMM. In 1998 with the support of Giacomo Maiolini, owner of the legendary TIME Records, Alex founded RISE Records, which soon became one of the most respected European labels, signing hit records like The Tamperer and Black Legend - Alex is the only Italian A&R who had two No. 1s in the UK sales chart.

Then the massive hit Bang by Robbie Rivera soon followed - which got him nominated as best European A&R at the European Music Awards in London in 2000.

In this period he also increased his activity as a producer with two singles in 2003 featuring big names such as Crystal Waters and Ultra Nat. Alex is also behind the projects Supacupa and Sambatucada (Gaudino da Costa) and his remix of Is it Cos Im Cool by Mousse T marked the summer 2004.
Then Lil Love Little Love was nominated by Musica & Dischi as the best Italian dance record of 2005 and was released by Positiva in the UK and reached the top of all the club charts

2006 began with the remixes of Pete Tong & Chris Cox (Deep End), Mousse T (Horny) and James Kakande (You You You), and the year progressed with the releases on Ministry of Sound of Alexs single Reaction and on Hed Kandi of his Blue Lipstick project Head over Heels.

Destination Calabria had been building itself a cult following since it began life as Magic Destination, a track Alex put together with his studio partner Maurizio Nari back in 2003, which featured vocals by Crystal Gypsy Woman Waters. Jim Tonique was called in on remix duties, and to add a little something special to his mix, he replayed the irresistible sax hook of the Ibiza classic by Rune, Calabria. Little did he know that this would then turn out to be one of the most sought after records over the coming months with DJs clamouring to get their hands on a copy.
Alex knew he had something big when Destination Calabria was voted best dance record at the prestigious Popkopmm conference.
The ability of Destination Calabria to get inside your head and have you humming the hook after just one listen, has seen it break out of the dance arena, onto the mainstream airwaves and massive Europe wide chart success.
His next track for 2007 is Alex Gaudino featuring Sam Obernik Que Pasa with an infectious chorus that will be heard all over the Mediterranean hotspots this summer. A sublime slice of summer feel good house with Sam Oberniks distinctive sweet vocal this one is definitely set for the top of the charts.
