The U.S Navy officer who helped Rihanna get into character for her film debut Battleship has praised her tough-girl credentials, and revealed that she loved playing with the guns on set!
Rihanna is set to play a weapons officer in the war blockbuster, based on the game of the same name, and relied on technical adviser Jacqueline Carrizosa to teach her how to handle guns and be combat-ready.
And according to Carrizosa Rihanna took to the training very well!
She told Britain's The Sun, "We were on set from sunrise to sunset - Rihanna was really tough. She was way better than her stunt double."
She added, "She's not afraid to get bruised or cut. All the stuff her stunt double would normally do, she was doing herself. I taught her how to handle the weapons. When she had a gun in her hand she couldn't stop smiling. She loved it."
Why are we not surprised!
According to Carrizosa Rihanna also took her aggressive energy onto the soccer field for Navy soccer matches.
She said, "When Rihanna played soccer she was really aggressive, like I am - pushing rival players out of the way."
