ARIA 2006 Nominations Announced

This year's ARIA nominations have been announced at a star-studded bash in Sydney today. Youth Group, Eskimo Joe, Human Nature and more were all on hand to hear the nominations and with such a big year for Aussie music it's no surprise that this year it's a mixed bag of artists and styles of music that have taken out the most nominations.

Four bands and artists are tied for top honours as the most nominated acts. Bernard Fanning, Hilltop Hoods, Wolfmother and Eskimo Joe have all taken out five nominations. The Rogue Traders and Augie March were hot on their heels though with four nominations each.

Last year's big winner Ben Lee picked himself up three noms and our fave Brissie pocket-rockets the Veronicas also nabbed three.
