The nominees for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards were announced this morning, with Kanye West and Amy Winehouse leading the tally.

The 2008 Grammy's are set to be a huge event, with the Recording Academy celebrating 50 years of Grammy Awards. The ceremony will be held on February 10, at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Rapper/producer Kanye West leads the nominations with 8, including 'Best Rap Album' and 'Album of the Year' for his latest 'Graduation'. UK train-wreck singer Amy Winehouse is a close second, receiving 6 nominations for her 'Back to Black' album, including the three big ones, 'Album of the Year', 'Record of the Year' and 'Song of the Year' (both for 'Rehab').

Other stars nominated include the Foo Fighters, Rihanna, Timbaland, and Justin Timberlake.
