Jordin Sparks caused a stir at the MTV VMA's on Sunday when she spoke out about promise rings.In response to host Russell Brand's comments, squeaky clean singer Jordin said there's nothing wrong with promise rings, "because not everybody... wants to be a slut!"
Jordin and the boys from the Jonas Brothers are famous for wearing the promise rings as a symbol of their virginity, purity and commitment to God.
British comedian Brand later apologized... watch all the footage below.

OMFG i didn`t know she wears one too!! i really admired her && Perez for sticking up for JB like that. Russell was funny, but he took it a bit too far. x

Go Jordin! She is a great role model. I'm glad all these celebs are wearing promise rings, because they're proving that it's perfectly ok to stay a virgin and that teens shouldn't feel like they have to have sex. We need more role models like these: Miley, Selena, Jordin, Kevin, Joe and Nick, well done guys :):):) Abbey xox
