Fergie Denies X Factor Rumours: 'Now Is Not The Right Time'

Fergie has denied that she is set to take a seat as a judge on reality TV show The X Factor in the US- as she doesn't have the time to focus on the show.

Recent reports stated that Fergie was one of Simon Cowell's favourites to become a judge on the second season of his show, and that the singer was desperate to join as well.

Now Fergie has told Access Hollywood that she is way too busy to even consider the position.

She said, "It's kind of funny why this keeps coming up about The X Factor. I mean, I love Simon and I love the show. It's just that last year, nor this year, do I have the time to commit to that sort of commitment because I would be somebody who would really throw myself into it, as I do with all my projects."

She added, "I know there were talks last season and this season... Simon said before (that) timing is everything and it's not the right time for me."

Britney Spears is one of the superstars still reported to be in the running for a judging job after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were axed following the series' first season last year (2011).
