T.I. - NOT A Newlywed!

Incarcerated rapper T.I. has shot down reports he entered prison as a newlywed - insisting rumours he married his longterm girlfriend are unfounded.

The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., was claimed to have exchanged vows with Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle in a small private ceremony on an island off the coast of Miami, Florida last Friday (22May09) - four days before he checked into a federal prison.

But his publicist Sydney Margetson has refuted the reports, telling Sister 2 Sister magazine they are "absolutely not true".

The hip-hop superstar turned himself over to Forrest City prison officials in Arkansas on Tuesday (26May09) to begin a 366-day prison sentence for his conviction on illegal weapons possession charges.

Former Xscape member Cottle has been with Harris since 2001 and she is the mother of two of his sons - Major and King.

T.I.'s surrender came just days after a judge rejected his request to be housed nearer to his family home in Atlanta, Georgia, and two days after he bid farewell to fans at his last concert before turning himself in to police.
