Josh Homme And Florence And The Machine Cover Johnny Cash Song
03 April 2012
Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine have teamed up to sing a cover of 'Jackson', made famous by Johnny Cash and June Carter, for MTV Unplugged.
The performance was recorded for MTV last month and will air on April 8th, with the audio recording being made available on CD and for digital download at a later date.
Jackson was first made famous in 1963 when Johnny Cash and June Carter covered it, but has since been covered by the likes of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood in 1967, Jenny Morris and INXS in 1983 and again by Johnny Cash and Miss Piggy when he appeared on The Muppet Show.
Florence and the Machine will be in Australia next month as a part of the Vivid Live festival, as well as playing a few select headlining shows across the country.
