Florence Welch: 'I Am A Pain In The Ass!'

05 April 2012

Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine has admitted to being a complete control freak and utter 'pain in the ass' when it comes to her music!

When talking to Stylist magazine, Florence also revealed that she could be 'vacant' and 'gloomy' -- arguing that because of her temperament, it is a good thing that she is a singer and not a celebrity!

When asked by the magazine how her friends would describe her, Florence said, "Excitable, easily distracted, sometimes vacant, prone to gloominess and also extreme euphoria; I can't be generous with time, but I try to be generous with affection."

She added, "I'm really lucky to be able to be in some of these situations and it feels really nice to be able to be in some of these situations and it feels really nice to be able to take people along with me for the tide. Oh, and I'm a pain in the ass as well."

Florence also revealed that she struggled when she first gained notoriety as a musician, because so much of people's interest focused on her looks and what her background was, not the music.

She said, I didn't want to become a personality, I wanted to be a musician, but because I didn't have an album to stand by yet it was hard for people to see that. But now, two albums in, I'm happy with things."
