WATCH: Stan Walker Slams Carmen Smith Controversy As 'So Stupid'

We were lucky enough to have Stan Walker in the Take 40 studio last week, and we wanted to know as a fellow singer, how did he feel about Carmen Smith from The Voice getting the boot?

Carmen was dumped from the hit reality talent show she was featured on Guy Sebastian's new song Gold, and therefore deemed to have an unfair advantage over other contestants from The Voice!

Stan revealed his thoughts on the matter during our interview, saying: "She never breached her contract, she was doing her job... I know Carmen, she is the most humble, real, amazing person ever."

"I'm gutted because.... She is hands down (the best)... I honestly think it was just stupid, they shouldn't have done that... I think it was just a stupid decision, and I hope it was not because Guy is doing X-factor for Channel 7"

Stan also took to Twitter to vent his feeling on the matter, saying:

"Carmen Smith never broke no rules.. Dont believe these lies yall.. NO RULES WERE BROKEN.. Support my gurl @CarmenSmithAU."
