VIDEO - Watch 'Boom Boom Pow'"I was in Sydney filming 'X-Men' (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) in February of last year and while I was there I asked my homeboy Hugo like 'Yo Hugo where's the clubs at?' He was like 'What kinda clubs you wanna go to brother?' and I was like 'Some hip hop clubs'.
Instead, Will's friend took him to an electro club in Sydney. "He took me to these electro clubs," Will continued. "I met The Cookers while I was there and then I went to Future Music Festival and was blown away, I met The Presets and I was blown away, I met Cut Copy and I was blown away."
VIDEO - Empire of the Sun's 'Walking On A Dream'Will said it was this Australian electro music which inspired the feel of the Black Eyed Peas' latest album 'The E.N.D', featuring the hits 'Boom Boom Pow' and 'I Gotta Feelin'.
"It's something about the simplicity of the DJ and how complex it all looks when you go, and see these kids going crazy... it looks nuts but it's really simple... and you know I was really inspired by that."
The Black Eyed Peas front man also told us he's a big fan of Aussie dance act Empire of the Sun.
"I was blown away by Australia," he said.
Will.I.Am will be in Australia very soon on tour with The Black Eyed Peas.
