Alanis to Adopt?

Canadian singer Alanis Morissette has said that she wants to adopt a baby.

34-year-old Alanis said that if she hasn't started a family before she turns 40 then she'll consider adopting. "I would definitely consider adoption, no question about it," she said. "Not today, but at some point in the future."

"Ideally, I'd like to be married and starting a family before I'm 40, even though I don't believe in the concept of marriage in the conventional sense. But there is definitely virtue in committing to something and following it through."

Alanis broke up with her fiance, actor Ryan Reynolds last year and is apparently now dating a lawyer.
