Alanis Morissette To Release New Album In 2012!

Just when you thought you'd never have to swallow a jagged little pill again, songstress Alanis Morissette has revealed she'll be releasing her seventh studio album this year!

Havoc And Bright Lights will be released on August 31st this year, through Sony Music.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles, and marks Alanis' first release in four years.

We'll get a sneak peek of the album in June, when the first single Guardian is released.

"This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments," Alanis recently revealed.

"It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through song. I can't wait to share it with this fun and funny planet, and to tour, and can't WAIT to have the lively, engaging and challenging conversations that these songs may invite."
