Nicki Minaj's Blue Vogue Photoshoot

Nicki Minaj is known for her outrageous and colourful outfits- but in her latest shoot with American Vogue the controversial rapper has taken her bubblegum look one step further but painting herself blue!

In the striking photograph Nicki is seen painted in a bright shade of blue with her signature pink curls and matching shade of lipstick.

In the interview that accompanies the distinctive shot, Minaj opened up about how her style wasn't always so bold.

She told Vogue, "I was dressing in Tommy Hilfiger baggy shirts and Boss jeans, but then I met a person who dressed like a tiny lady- pantsuits, heels, lot of makeup."

She went on to add, "I thought she was larger than life. She one did my makeup- I had never seen myself made up before. I didn't want to wash it off; I felt like I had one day to live this fantasy of being a glamour girl."

The singer also let loose a surprising revelation... that she didn't always want to be singer.

Minaj confessed, "A huge part of me wanted to be a lawyer. I would do a really good job as a prosecutor."

Somehow we don't doubt it!
