Vanessa Sings At The Games

Melbourne singer Vanessa Amorosi will perform at the Commonwealth Games' opening ceremony in Manchester next month.

Amorosi will perform her hit 'Shine' at the event. Amorosi, who has been in Melbourne writing her next album, leaves next week for a German tour.

Four of Amorosi's singles have been top 20 hits in Germany, and her album, 'The Power', went gold there.

She will perform on the same bill with Joe Cocker in Germany, playing to audiences of up to 100,000 people.

A new single is expected to be released in Australia in August.
