After rumours circulating furiously that One Direction were slated for their very own TV show, Nickelodeon has stepped out and confirmed that it will be happening!

Just like every big announcement these days, network Nickelodeon broke the news on Twitter this morning posting:

'The rumours are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!'

Wanna see One Direction at the Logies this year? Enter here!

This is unbelievable news for Directioners!

The British lads impressed bosses at Nickelodeon when they made a recent guest appearance on the program iCarly and now the TV channel management are clamouring to think of a way to give 1D their own show, similar to that of American group Big Time Rush.

Nickelodeon revealed a statement earlier today which elaborated on the project further, saying they are working towards 'A development project for UK pop sensation One Direction, who will next collaborate with Nick when they perform live at Nickelodeon's 2012 Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles on March 31.'

Would you watch a TV show based around 1D?
