One Direction Turn Down Invitation From White House Due To Australian Tour

One Direction has turned down an invitation to visit the White House from Michelle Obama, because their tour has proved too demanding.

There is no doubt that Louis, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Harry are kicking goals in America, with their first album going to the top of the US charts, and a new show announced for iconic venue Madison Square Gardens in December.

The boys met Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards last weekend and got along really well.

The first lady invited 1D to join President Barack Obama's family at the White House's annual Easter egg hunt on Monday.

Unfortunately they lads had to decline this amazing offer as they are heading to Australia next week and have a lot to prepare in the meantime!

Glad they didn't think of cancelling the Aussie leg! Our directioners must be very important to them!
