Ed Sheeran has confirmed this week that he will be helping out One Direction on their next album.
To the delight of Directioners worldwide the boys revealed that they will have a new album out by the end of the year (2012) -- with rumours that they will be in the studio this summer.
And now Brit crooner Ed has revealed that he will be passing on two of his unreleased tracks to the boys for album number two!
In a recent interview he said, "I wrote a couple of songs when I was 17 that One Direction want for their next album. I'm going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them."
But if you think that this latest news means that a musical collaboration is in the works for the boyband and Sheeran, don't get too excited.
Ed said of the possibility that, "there's definitely a divide in genre," so he won't be featured on the tracks.
Ed previously wrote Moments that featured on One Direction's Up All Night.
