No surprises here, soul songstress Adele was the early winner at the Brit Awards in London today, taking home the honour for Best Female Solo Artist.
The singer, who scooped six Grammys only a few weeks ago, seems to be continuing her amazing run of awards by beating out competition from musical heavyweights Florence and the Machine, Jessie J, Kate Bush and Laura Marling to win the award.
Accepting her prize, Adele told the audience, "Thank you so much... it's been an amazing year, thank you."
Check out all the red carpet action from the BRIT Awards! Coldplay opened the event at the O2 Arena in London with a performance of new single
Charlie Brown, followed by a killer performance by Florence and the Machine with their hit
No Light, No Light.
Rihanna, Adele, Blur and Noel Gallagher also performed at the ceremony.
