Depending on who you believe, he was born either Robert Straker or Robert Cummings. But the music world has come to know him as Rob Zombie, first fronting a band called White Zombie and then as a solo act.
His horror-inspired hard rock found a huge audience with White Zombie's 1995 album, Astro Creep: 2000.
Rob had formed White Zombie in 1985.
In 1998, he started his own label, Zombie A-Go-Go.
That same year, he launched his solo career with the album Hellbilly Deluxe. Song titles included Living Dead Girl and Return Of The Phantom Monster. And the album sub-title was Tales Of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside The Spookshow International.
