Pop-folkster Ben Lee has racked up another series of awards for his amazing, breakthrough hit, 'Catch My Disease'.
After scoring an impressive three ARIA's at last year, Ben picked up the 'Song of the Year' gong for 'Catch My Disease' and the 'Most Performed Australian Work' award at the APRA awards in Sydney last night.
Ben, who is on tour in America at the moment, said in his acceptance speech, "When I was 14 I started making records, recording in my bedroom. I had no technology. I had no money, I didn't have a lot of style, I didn't have much musical technique but what I did have were songs that I believed in. I'm ... really grateful that the Australian music industry still recognises the value of a songwriter and realises that the song is the most important part of a record."
