Grinspoon, Hilltop Hoods, & RATM for 2008 Big Day Out!

02 October 2007

Big Day Out promoters have just released the first list of acts in the line-up for the 2008 event!

On the bill so far are - Grinspoon, Arcade Fire, The Hilltop Hoods, LCD Sound System, Sarah Blasko, Paul Kelly, Midnight Juggernaughts, Faker, Something With Numbers, Dizzee Rascal, and eccentric Icelandic singer Bjork!

But the big ticket, the question on everyone's lips, is who will be headlining? Rumours have been circulating that metal rockers Metallica might make an appearance, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.

The 2008 Big Day Out will be headlined by the recently re-united Rage Against The Machine! These will be their first international shows since getting back together.

Tickets for the Big Day Out will go on sale at different times for each different city, as follows:

Sydney - Wednesday 10th October
Gold Coast - Thursday 11th October
Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth - Friday 12th October

Big Day Out dates are below:

Sunday January 20 - Gold Coast Parklands
Friday January 25 - Sydney Showground, Sydney
Monday January 28 - Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Friday February 1 - Adelaide Showground, Adelaide
Sunday February 3 - Claremont Showground, Perth
