Big Day Out 2013 Lineup Revealed!

The wait is finally over for the Big Day Out 2013 line up -- and boy is it a big one!Speculation has been running hot and cold around which bands will be gracing the new and improved stages of the iconic festival -- and while the full list dropped as promised at 12 am sharp, headliners The Red Hot Chili Peppers peaked a little early posting a clip online an hour earlier.
Joining The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be The Killers who have returned to the music scene after a hiatus with their new album Battle Born.
The festival will also welcome more than 30 first timers to the tour and has attracted a number of loved indie bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Band Of Horses, Animal Collective and the Foals.
Against Me!, 360, B.o.B, Sleigh Bells and Childish Gambino (Troy from Community to fans!) are also included in the list that boasts a massive 37 acts.
Head huncho Ken West has also eluded that there will be some major changes to the event this year, stating, "While the line-up is paramount, it is only part of what it takes to present a great event. Stay tuned for details over the coming months for the new announcements about food, fun and non-music entertainment we have in store to deliver you the best and biggest day possible."
There has also been one major change -- the price of the ticket which is down from previous years at $165.
West added, "We think it's time to make ticket pricing more fair and simple, so we've held the price and absorbed all the frustrating extras... No booking fees, no charges for credit cards, no carbon offsets, no mailing costs. And for all of you in Perth, no transport levy! $165 flat. No surprises, no kidding!"
BDO has also introduced a 'premium ticket', hilariously titled the 'Like A Boss' ticket that costs $265 and will give you access backstage and other yet to be revealed benefits.
