Synopsis:
Rob Schneider scores big laughs and big hits in BIG STAN, a rollicking action-comedy about a schemer who finds himself in big trouble and learns how to triumph over the odds while becoming a better man.
In his directorial debut, Schneider plays Stan Minton - a successful and self-centered con artist who has it all: a beautiful trophy wife (Jennifer Morrison), a mansion in the suburbs, a fancy sports car, and money to burn. But Stans most recent real-estate scam backfires. Hes arrested for fraud, convicted, and heading for incarceration at a maximum-security prison filled with murderers, rapists and thieves. In order to survive his jail term intact, Stan must swiftly learn martial arts before his sentence begins. So he turns to an unconventional sensei known only as The Master (David Carradine) for an intense, condensed course of study that will enable him to fend off the most vicious convicts in the penitentiary. Before he can even think about surviving prison and possibly redeeming himself in the process, Stan will have to survive the Masters bizarre and hilarious training regimen not to mention the incompetence of a shyster lawyer (M. Emmet Walsh), the demands of a spoiled, ditzy wife, and the consequences of his own greed and arrogance. When he finally lands behind bars, the stakes are raised even higher. Diminutive Stan sets out to make himself the most feared prisoner in the yard with, literally, riotous results, and comes up against a corrupt warden whos planning a real-estate scam of his own.
