50 Cent looks set to star alongside veteran actor Robert De Niro in a new film about Hurrican Katrina which devastated the American town of New Orleans last year.

The movie, ingeniously titled 'New Orleans', will tell the tale of a police officer (De Niro) who thinks he has lost his partner in the hurricane. Fiddy will play De Niro's new partner.

Meanwhile, Fiddy has had a lawsuit against him dropped after it was found he did not steal the opening lyrics from his track 'In Da Club' from rapper Luther Campbell. The line in question was "Go Shorty, it's your birthday" which sounds very similar to the chorus of Luther's track 'It's Your Birthday'!
