New Live Earth Show Announced

14 June 2007

Live Earth organizers have announced another concert location, which will make for one cool event.

Live Earth Antarctica has been confirmed for the worldwide event on July 7, keeping the promise of holding a concert across all seven continents!

The headlining act for the Antarctica show - in fact, the only act - are a five piece native indie rock band called Nunatak. The group consists of young scientists stationed in Antarctica. No other acts can play there because at this time of year, the entire continent is inaccessible by both sea and air due to freezing weather conditions.

Nunatak will perform to a mere crowd of 17, however the show will be broadcast simultaneously on TV, radio and the internet around the world.

Other host cities include Sydney, London, Tokyo, Istanbul, New York, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, and Hamburg.
