WENTZ/SIMPSON ENGAGEMENT RUMOURS "NOT TRUE"

The rumours that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were engaged and expecting a baby have quickly been quashed by Simpson's reps.

Gossip websites speculated that the supposed engagement was kept secret because of Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson's divorce with former 98 degrees star Nick Lachey. Ash's people say the rumours are "absolutely not true."

Britney Spears was apparently shooting a video clip in an LA warehouse recently for her comeback single, suspected to be called 'Get Back'.

Brit was also spotted recently swimming at a beach wearing not bathers but her underwear!

MARIAH RECORDING NEW ALBUM

Pop diva Mariah Carey's comeback is on the rise. The singer left a voicemail message on her website on Wednesday telling fans that she is recording a few new tracks which she hopes to be a "stone groove smash hit wonder".

Mariah also indicated that she'll be "hauled up in the studio for the next few months" working on her next album, which she hopes to have out by the end of this year.
