Gabriella Cilmi Cancels Melbourne Gig

Frontier touring have just announced the cancellation of Gabriella Cilmi's Melbourne concert scheduled for December 7.

According to the press release, the cancellation is due to a scheduling conflict. Gabriella has been confirmed to appear on a major German television show the night after her Melbourne gig was booked, but she would need to leave Australia on the morning of December 7.

The statement reads:

"Unfortunately her appearance on the TV show will mean that Gabriella will now have to depart Australia on the morning of December 7 -- the date of her Melbourne concert.

While crushed that she can't proceed with her scheduled Forum concert, Gabriella will return to her hometown in the new year with a new all ages concert date with The Cat Empire at Hisense Arena on Sunday 1 February 2009 as part of Tennis Australia's entertainment program. Both Gabriella and Frontier regret any disappointment that may have been caused by this cancellation."
