Kooks Frontman Joins New Band For Hot Singer

30 January 2009

The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard is set to join the French band 'The Do' for a series of covers. Pritchard told NME.com that the recordings would be released in France on the White Label and he wanted the covers to have a bit of "trashy, Velvet Underground and Nico kind of vibe".

Pritchard added that he wanted to keep things simple in the recording studio, and just let the music happen.

Pritchard met the band after meeting them on the festival circuit last summer, and joked that the reasons he wanted to join the band was to hang out with the bands gorgeous singer- Olivia B.Merilahti.

"She's gorgeous, isn't she?...Very cool. I was quite blown away by her when I saw her. Hearing them on record doesn't do them justice."

Is there romance in the air for Luke and Olivia?
