After years of being managed by Beyonce's father, Kelly Rowland and Matthew Knowles have gone separate ways, with both parties declaring that the split was amicable.
Mathew said in a statement: "After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship."
It has been reported that Kelly was becoming increasingly frustrated that her career was stalling in the United States, while Beyonce and her sister Solange's solo careers were soaring.
Kelly's last album, 'Ms. Kelly', which was released in the US in 2007 was pushed back several times to make way for Beyonce's LP B'Day. Kelly's album only reached number six in the US Billboard 200 charts, while B'Day went jumped straight to number one.
Do you think that Matthew Knowles was prioritising his daughter's career over Kelly's?
