Mandy Moore Heartbroken

Mandy Moore's, teen singing sensation and part-time actress, is nursing a broken heart.

According to reports, the 18-year-old's relationship with Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood is over.

But if Moore's recent comments to a newspaper are anything to go by, then Wood's loss could be the golden opportunity for some charming Sydney lad.

Moore will be at Fox Studios for the Sydney premier of 'A Walk to Remember' tonight and is expected afterwards for a post-premier bash at Arena on Bent Street.

"If I have any free time, I'll just be scouring the streets trying to find a new friend," Moore promised a few weeks back.

"That would be a wonderful thing. I'm all for at least making new friends and just meeting new people.

What kind of friend is Mandy talking about? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) I wonder if it's of the special, male variety?
