Britney Spears has finally announced her first ever Australian tour, after months of speculation.
Some details of the tour were revealed via Channel 9's late night news, which showed headlines from tomorrow's papers across Australia, two of which showed Britney Spears tour announcements on the front cover.
Soon after, BritneySpears.com posted the tour dates on her official site.
"I've wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it's finally happening," Britney said in the statement posted online.
"My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can't wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans. See you guys soon!"
According to the site, 'The Circus Starring Britney Spears' tour is currently the highest grossing North American tour of 2009.
Britney has reportedly been allowed to take her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James on holidays with her for the three week tour.
There has been much speculation that the cost of tickets will be sky-high, but according to reports they won't be too out of control: between $99 and $199. Tickets go on sale July 3 from Ticketek.
