29 August 2009

Noel Gallagher has apparently quit UK rock band Oasis after a massive fight with bandmate Liam Gallagher.

Details of the alleged fight were spilt by one of the singers at the festival, Amy McDonald, who wrote on her Twitter page:

"Cancelled again with one minute to stage time!! Liam smashed Noel's guitar, huuuge fight!"

Noel has posted an official message on the Oasis website, which reads:

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

This news comes less than a week after Oasis pulled out of their slot at the V Festival in the UK last weekend, citing Liam having viral laryngitis as the reason why.

Oasis were set to wrap up their tour at the end of August.
