Eskimo Joe's 'Thunderclap' On Twilight New Moon Soundtrack!

29 September 2009

It's all happening for Aussie rockers Eskimo Joe at the moment.

They've scored a slot on the lineup for the 2010 Big Day Outand, as announced yesterday - one of their songs will be on a special Australian edition of the Twilight 'New Moon' soundtrack!

The Australian release of the New Moon soundtrack will include a bonus track from Perth boys Eskimo Joe, entitled 'Thunderclap'.

Watch Eskimo Joe's new video - 'Don't Let Me Down'!

Guitarist Stuart MacLeod says the band are thrilled.

"It's great to be a part of the global phenomenon that is Twilight. When approached about writing a song for the soundtrack, 'Thunderclap' seemed to be the perfect song for the album. It was a song we wrote early on in the album process for 'Inshalla'. It has a darkness to it, but also a real feeling of hope. I hope it's a good match for the film."

The full tracklisting for the soundtrack is as follows -

Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me On The Equinox
Band of Skulls - Friends
Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage
Lykke Li - Possibility
The Killers - A White Demon Love Song
Anya Marina - Satellite Heart
Muse - I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)
Bon Iver & St. Vincent - Roslyn
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Done All Wrong
Hurricane Bells - Monsters
Sea Wolf - The Violet Hour
OK Go - Shooting The Moon
Grizzly Bear - Slow Life
Editors - No Sound But The Wind
Alexandre Desplat - New Moon (The Meadow)
BONUS TRACK - Eskimo Joe - Thunderclap

The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits cinemas on Thursday November 19, with the soundtrack hitting shelves on October 20!
